PRESIDENT FIRE S0LUTIONS LTD
President Fire Solutions offer an exceptional service at great value for money for all your fire safety needs. We are a small family run business in Glasgow since 2016 with over 20 years experience within the fire industry covering the whole of Scotland.
We aim to provide a personal service, offering competitive prices, knowledge of new technologies and quality assurance. We can provide the same services as national companies, at just a fraction of the cost as we don’t have the high overheads.
All of our services are carried out in strict accordance with British Standards and we are a member of The UK Fire Association. We have an extensive range of products from world-class suppliers ensuring we can provide you with a reliable and effective service to meet all your requirements. We ensure that the cost of our service is the most competitive available whilst not compromising on the quality of components and the highest standards of workmanship.
Not only will we provide the correct fire protection equipment, we also offer on-site advice so that employees know how to use the fire extinguishers with “live” extinguisher demonstration if required.
We offer professional inspection services and refill fire extinguishers to ensure they are operational and ready when needed.
It is good practice for businesses that PAT testing is carried out as part of a regular system of maintenance and inspection, as annual tests afford maximum protection and compliance with regulations.
We maintain, supply and install emergency lighting solutions that illuminate escape routes during power outages or emergency situations.
We conduct comprehensive training sessions to educate your staff on fire safety protocols and emergency procedures for a safer work environment.
Our team provides routine maintenance services to keep your fire alarm system in top condition for an immediate response in emergencies.
We conduct thorough Fire Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure your premises meet safety regulations.
To provide you with information about which type of fire extinguisher you might need please look at the table below, all fire extinguishers have the body colour of signal red, and at least 5% of the body must be colour coded in the pre-EN3 (BS 5423) colours.
The tamper seal performs two functions; holding the safety pin in place and providing a visual indication that the safety pin has not been removed so the extinguisher couldn’t have been discharged using the handle.
The needle in the gauge can sometimes stick due to damage or moisture. This means that the extinguisher could have lost pressure completely but the gauge would still show the needle in the green indicating that it is fully pressurised.
If the body of the fire extinguisher shows signs of corrosion, dents, gouges etc. it could be dangerous. There is a possibility that the extinguisher could burst, releasing all of its stored pressure instantly and severely injure the user.
The extinguisher must also display certain information on the label in regards to its operation, ratings, refilling etc. If any of this text is no longer legible the extinguisher will be condemned.
If the hose is damaged, torn, frayed etc. there is a possibility that it will leak during discharge. If all of the extinguishant (foam, water, powder etc.) is not reaching the fire due to a leak then the extinguisher will have a lower rating than stated on the cylinder and will be less effective.
